About

Hello Readers,

I’m Fae. Obviously, that isn’t my real name, but it is one that I’ve used for the last decade at least. It started as AutumnFae on gaming platforms, eventually shortened to just Fae by gaming friends until it made an appearance in my real life, and now it’s taken on a life of its own! I am based in the UK, only a short train ride north of London. I returned here to regrow my roots after living in the USA for almost as long as I’ve had this nickname!

I am a 30-something confessed nerd – I have an unhealthy love of Jurassic Park, Kaiju’s, Giant Mecha suits called Jaegers, and the Dinobots from Transformers. When I’m not reading or gaming, I daydream about sandy beaches (aren’t we all at this point!), blue seas, and a cocktail in my hand.

As an avid reader, gamer, and all-around victim of wanderlust, I flit from one thing to another with the seasonal changes. I find myself having a lot of knowledge and opinions in many areas.

To change direction in my career and move away from office environments, I am an adult student – updating my Math and English skills and collecting recognised qualifications. I dream of becoming a book editor. I even have a small editing gig under my belt already!

And, of course, I’d love to build EternityFae into something great.

Many of my bookish interests are affordable to me and, therefore, likely affordable to you. I have a Kindle Unlimited subscription and make use of it daily while occasionally splurging on something that grabs my attention. I’m a member of several Facebook book groups and hoping to spend next year completing a reading challenge alongside my own TBR shelf.

EternityFae.com, previously known as The Little Reading Nook, came to life after I realised that I was spending more and more time discussing and reviewing the books I had read with others. After a while, it was suggested to me that I should start a blog as an outlet for my passion – Truth be told, I’m fairly sure my friends just tired of me always harping on about the latest “amazing” novel I had found.

That being said, I’ve received a large amount of support from those same friends who have let me raid their bookcases for new genres to enjoy. Having a large social group has allowed me to delve into new literary areas that I typically wouldn’t have explored previously.

I am hoping that I can share my adventures in lands unknown with the readers here. Helping you add to your own To Be Read list, encouraging you to join in and set your own reading goals and challenges for the year, and guide you to step out of your own comfy reading zones to try a bite of something new.

You may notice over time that content here spreads into other areas of my lifestyle – I love beauty, knick-knacks, and living way beyond my means (or at least fantasising about it nowadays), and I’m a sucker for home decor and gadgets. It’ll likely make an appearance, you have been warned!

Until then, see you in the next chapter!

– Fae xoxo
